Chimney Liners

Inside your chimney there is a passage for flue gases, created by combustion, to exit your home. This passage is called a liner. Some chimneys, however, do not have a liner and the flue gases travel just inside the bricks (or blocks) that make up the chimney. The picture on the right shows a chimney with a clay tile liner exiting at the top.
If there is no liner in your chimney, or should the tile become cracked or broken, we can install a stainless steel chimney liner. Our liners are appropriate for gas, oil, pellets, and wood. The graphic on the left shows a cutaway of a chimney with a stainless steel liner installed. Since many factors determine the selection of a product for your chimney here in Bend, Redmond and the rest of Central Oregon, call our office today at 541-389-1497 and we will be glad to assist you.
Another alternative is HeatShield® which can restore your chimney's clay flue liner and save you the expense of rebuilding or relining with a stainless steel chimney liner. HeatShield® is a chimney liner repair system that eliminates the hazards and draft problems caused by gaps, cracks and spalling in otherwise sound masonry chimneys.

Chimney Caps

Animals may be cute in Central Oregon but if he gets into your home he will create a mess! Birds, raccoons or other animals are just one of the many reasons for having a chimney professional like Browns Chimney Services of Bend install a chimney cap on top of your chimney. We offer many sizes of chimney caps and, if needed, we can custom prepare a chimney cap for your unusually shaped chimney. Also, the less rain that enters the chimney, the less possibility of unwelcome odor may occur - especially on a chimney that serves a fireplace.
If you heat your home with oil or gas, call us today and ask us about installing a chimney cap to prevent leaves or other debris from aiding in a buildup which could ultimately create a total obstruction in your chimney.
